Pond Acid Buffer™ is designed to lower pH in decorative ponds without the use of phosphate or phosphoric acid. It is ideal for use with planted ponds containing koi, goldfish, or other pond fish. It is not eutrophic and will not promote algae growth. It is particularly useful in lowering the pH in concrete ponds.

Pond HealthGuard? is an effective disinfectant to promote the control of parasitic, bacterial, and viral infestations of fish in ponds. Pond HealthGuard? contains no malachite green (or other dye based disinfectants) that can discolor the water or quaternary disinfectants that foam. Used as directed Pond HealthGuard? is safe for fish, plants, and the biological filter.

DIRECTIONS: Use 250 mL (1 cup) per 2000 L (500 gallons) daily until conditions improve. Dispense product widely to avoid localized overdose. Use 125 mL (half a cup) per 2000 L (500 gallons) daily for about a week thereafter. To calculate volume, multiply average length by average width by average depth. To obtain Liters measure in meters and multiply by 1000; to obtain gallons measure in feet and multiply by 7.5. To obtain average dimensions of irregular shaped ponds (e.g., kidney), take as many measurements as practical to avoid overestimation and consequent possible overdose. Account for water displacement by potted plants, rocks, or other decorative materials. PRECAUTIONS! Pond HealthGuard? is safe for most fish under most circumstances. Since use of any treatment is not without risk, it should not be used carelessly. For prophylactic purpose, use 1-4 dose. If many fish are to be treated, first check for susceptibility to stress with a few fish. If fish show stress (surface breathing or other abnormal behavior), do not redose. If signs of stress are acute, promptly initiate water replacement to dilute product. If uncertain about susceptibility to stress, use 1-4 to 1-2 dose and proceed with caution. Pond HealthGuard? should not be used in conjunction with other treatments. Do not use if copper or zinc are present. Do not use if Demalin has ever been used (a 100% water change must be done to remove all traces of Demalin). Do not use if oxygen levels are depressed or water exceeds 30 ?C (86 ?F). In most ponds, product does not persist longer than 24 hours, but may in exceptionally clean water. In such cases, redosing should be delayed. In water hazy with phytoplankton or bacteria, rapid death of these organisms may cause oxygen depletion. In such situations, be prepared to replace water with oxygenated water. Death or rapid release of gill flukes may cause gill stress with some species.

Pond Matrix? is a high porosity product designed to provide exceptionally efficient biofiltration for the removal of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate from decorative ponds, thereby promoting a healthy environment for both fish and aquatic plants. Pond Matrix?can also serve as a clean soil replacement, allowing the culture of aquatic plants without the use of muddy soils. This product is sold by volume, cited weight is minimal weight.

DIRECTIONS: For filtration use 2 L of Pond Matrix? for each 200 gallons of water. Use in any pond filter. Pond Matrix? is sufficiently large that a filter bag should not be necessary. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for your filter. Pond Matrix? should never need replacing. Pond Matrix? makes an excellent support for root development of aquatic plants and may be used directly on the bottom of the pond or in pots. This avoids the use of soil in the pond. It may be used alone, mixed, or overlayered with river rock. For pond bottom use, it should be presoaked for several days and allowed to become water-logged and sink (although a high current will disrupt it). Pond PhosGuard? is a porous adsorbent for removing phosphate and certain acidic compounds from the water without releasing anything into the water. It is produced as conveniently sized beads for easy use in any kind of pond filter. This product is sold by volume, cited weight is minimal weight.

DIRECTIONS: Use Pond PhosGuard? in the chemical module of your pond filter. If a chemical module is lacking, place in your pond filter so as to maximize the amount of water passing through it. The beads are sufficiently large that a filter bag should not be required for most filters. Check the specifications for your filter. Each liter (approximately a quart) of Pond PhosGuard? will treat about 100 to 300 gallons for 1 to 3 months, depending on the biological load of the pond. It works better at alkaline or neutral pH.
